Liana Maria Taborda Lima

Founding partner of Taborda Lima & Advogados Associados, she practices business, customs and environmental law and manages the firm. She holds a master's degree in Business Law and Citizenship from UNICURITIBA, where she also specialized in customs law. She graduated in law from PUC/PR, with a specialization in law and ecology from the same institution. She teaches undergraduate and specialization courses and is an associate editor of Revista Relações Internacionais no Mundo Atual. She serves as regional director of the Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA). She is the author of books and of articles published in national and international law journals.

Partner at Taborda Lima & Advogados Associados, he heads the International Law and Immigration Law Department. He completed his LL.M. at Northeastern University, in Boston, is a specialist in international law from PUC/SP and holds an MBA in foreign trade and customs management. He presides over the Instituto Internacional do Direito do Entretenimento e Desportivo and is affiliated with the International Compliance Association, in the United Kingdom. He serves as reporting member of the International Law and Immigration Law Commissions of OAB/PR. He publishes articles in national and international law journals.

Our record

Established in Curitiba in 1996, the firm began its practice in customs law. In the following decades the practice extended to immigration, foreign investment, corporate law, wealth planning and international litigation.

The firm maintains partnerships in Miami, New York, Jacksonville, Washington D.C., Lisbon, Madrid and Buenos Aires. In proceedings that reach two jurisdictions, the case is prepared in Brazil and the follow-up in the destination jurisdiction is handled by the firm itself, together with the local partner.
