This policy explains how Taborda Lima & Advogados Associados, a law firm based at Rua Nilo Peçanha, 648, Centro Cívico, Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, handles personal data received through this website. The firm is the controller of the data.
Data we receive
- Through the contact form: name, email, telephone, company, country, subject and the message. Only name, email and message are required.
- By email and WhatsApp: the sender’s address or number and the content of the message.
-
From browsing: visit and page performance statistics. Vercel’s measurement uses no cookies. Google Analytics 4 uses
its own cookies (mainly
_ga, valid for up to two years) to tell repeat visits apart and records the IP address in anonymised form; neither identifies visitors by name or email.
How we use it
Contact details are used to reply to the message and assess a possible engagement, at the sender’s request (Brazilian General Data Protection Law, LGPD, art. 7, V). Browsing statistics and protection against automated submissions serve the firm’s legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working (LGPD, art. 7, IX). We do not use the data for advertising and do not sell it.
Professional secrecy
What you tell us is protected by the lawyer’s duty of professional secrecy (OAB Code of Ethics and Discipline, arts. 35 to 38). Even so, please do not send confidential documents through the form: they can be sent later through a channel agreed with the firm.
Who we share it with
With the providers that run the website: Vercel, which hosts the site and measures visits; Google, which operates Google Analytics 4 and processes browsing statistics under its terms for data use on partner sites; and Resend, which delivers form messages to the firm. All three have servers outside Brazil; the international transfer relies on serving the data subject’s own request (LGPD, art. 33, IX, together with art. 7, V) and, for the statistics, on the legitimate interest described above. You can stop Google Analytics measurement with the Google opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. WhatsApp is a Meta service with its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed to reply and, if the firm is engaged, for the duration of the professional relationship and the legal and professional periods that follow it. After that, the data is deleted.
Your rights
You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, deletion, portability and information on who the data was shared with, among the other rights in LGPD art. 18, by writing to contact@tabordalima.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
Data protection officer
Person in charge of personal data processing (LGPD, art. 41): Cesar Augusto Taborda Lima, OAB/PR 112.654, at contact@tabordalima.com.
